Dr. Sandeep Vaishya

Dr. Sandeep Vaishya is a renowned Neurosurgeon in India with over 22 years of experience.
He is the HOD (Head of Department) and Executive Director of the Department of Neurosurgery at Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Gurugram.
He has worked with top institutions and hospitals in India, including AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) and Max Super Speciality Hospital.
Dr. Vaishya received the Sundt Fellowship at Mayo Clinic, USA, and has completed his MCh (Neurosurgery) from AIIMS.
His specialties include Minimal Invasive and Image Guided Neurosurgery, Intracranial Tumor Surgery (including skull base tumors), Functional Neurosurgery, Spinal Surgery, and Brachial Plexus & Peripheral Nerve Surgery.
He has served as a faculty member in the Department of Neurosurgery at AIIMS for 10 years and has also held the position of Head of Department – Neurosurgery at Max Institute of Neurosciences.
Dr. Vaishya is actively involved in various professional associations, including being the Secretary of the World Spinal Column Society and the Middle East Spine Society.
He is a member of the spine committee and World Federation of Neurosurgical Society, and he is a founding member and Treasurer of The Neuromodulation Society.
Dr. Vaishya has served as the President of the Indian Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery and the Indian Society for Peripheral Nerve Surgery.
He is a section editor for World Neurosurgery and World Neurosurgery X.
Dr. Vaishya has received several awards and honors throughout his career, including the Herbert Krause Medal for Best Paper in Neuro-Oncology, the Sundt Fellowship by Mayo Clinic, and the Gold Medal in Medical School.
He has published over 100 papers and chapters in peer-reviewed medical journals and textbooks and has delivered more than 200 guest lectures in India and abroad.
